The Association
General information

The Dutch Goldpanning Association was founded at 19 maart 2006 and the founding board consists of:

Our association is subscribed in the register for associations and foundations at the Kamer van Koophandel, as required by the Dutch law. Our Statutes (NED) en House Rules (NED) are also registered.

 

Goals and activities

The main goal of our association is to unite the Dutch hobby goldpanners, to promote and stimulate goldpanning activities, to map all Ducth gold occurences in the Netherlands and to study the Dutch gold history. The association attempts this by means of:

  • This website, with a competition calendar, results, photos, many links and background information.
  • A bi-annual digital newsletter, called Bladgoud (Gold Leaf), with news, articles, results, interviews and stories for around teh campfire.
  • A yearly gold excursion, sometimes in the Netherlands and sometimes abroad.
  • A yearly weekend in the Netherlands, just for fun and company.
  • When the weather allow it a BBQ and practice competition.
  • Yearly Open Dutch Goldpanning Championships.

    • Most international competitions, like our Dutch Open, the European Championships and the World Championships are organised in cooperation with the World Goldpanning Association (WGA). This organisation unites all national goldpanning associations, determines the Competition Rules and the hosting country for future World Championships. Our association pays contribution to the World Goldpanning Association to make sure that all our members are allowed to compete in international competitions.

     

    Becoming a member or donater

    The contribution for all members is € 20,- per person per year. Children of members with an age under 16 do not have to pay contribution. With the membership comes the original DGA pin. For everybody who does not want to pan themselves, but would like to support us financially it is possible to become a donator.
